I'd say there's 5-10x as many guitar pro tabs out there compared to Powertab.

And once you get used to how the interface works and how easy it is to import data from your midi files then maybe you'll consider downloading and installing the full version. The sheer number of tabs alone makes Guitar Pro the better option, although admittedly it's more expensive. In the trial version you get a virtual keyboard/touch-screen interface that makes it very easy to operate, even for a beginner.

In fact the import feature is so easy to use that I almost recommend that you install the free trial version of TablEdit, the preferred program to use to import midi data. If you're wondering how it can import midi files from your computer, that's a minor issue but still a very important feature in my opinion.
